About Us

Our Mission

“Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it”
- Karl Marx, Eleventh Thesis on Feuerbach

It’s a leap to say this website can be the one to change the world, but we think it can provide some good first steps. We open avenues of thought and exploration, encouraging all to start by interpreting the world, challenging assumptions, examining different ways of thought, and engaging in conversations. Seeking to change perceptions that philosophy is an esoteric study exclusively for the privileged, we particularly offer philosophy for younger generations. We seek to incorporating new perspectives and voices, guiding intellectual curiosities and creating bountiful fruits of thought.

Philosophy Vessel, founded on pure love for knowledge, is an open resource and platform for students of philosophy to share their philosophical interests, inquiries, and passions with each other. Our goals are:

  • To provide accessible resources and guides in philosophy.
  • To promote literacy and discussion of philosophy by running regular online reading groups.
  • To stimulate conversation and philosophical debate through the public forum.
  • To allow student philosophy organizations, societies, clubs, and individuals to network and showcase their activities.
  • To publish philosophically-themed works by students.
  • To coordinate international and region-wide projects and events, connecting students from across the world.
